Abstract
Assessment of men suffering from proven chronic prostatitis involves a cascade of diagnostic steps, including evaluation of symptoms and clinical features, objectivation of the inflammatory response in expressed prostatic secretions, standardized localization techniques for common bacteria and a search for fastidious, uncommon pathogens.Keywords
