Abstract
An expt. reported by Calvin, Bicknell, and Sperling suggests that in the absence of known reinforcement a neutral stimulus situation may take on motivational properties from repeated association with a strong drive state. The present study, a repetition of their expt. did not confirm their findings. Keywords
