Abstract
Knee joint synovial fluids (28) were examined for urate crystals and the uric acid levels in joint fluid and serum estimated. The joint uric acid level was significantly greater than the serum uric acid level in 4 of 8 patients with gout. In 3 of these patients with higher joint uric acid levels and in 1 other gouty patient, urate crystals were seen in the joint fluid. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
