Abstract
SUMMARY: Experiments were carried out to study quantitatively in ovariectomized mice the relationship between the dosage of progesterone and the formation of decidual tissue, and to determine whether this relationship would be modified by simultaneous administration of either 5-hydroxytryptamine or an amine oxidase inhibitor HP 1325. As neither of these drugs produced any change in the decidual response at two different levels of progesterone, their toxic effects are probably due to interference with the endocrine activity of the ovary. Keywords
