Abstract
The mechanism of joint toxic action of Kitazin-P [organophosphorus fungicide] with malathion in the resistant green rice leafhopper was studied. From the toxicity test, high joint toxic action was observed only in resistant strains but not in susceptible ones. Kitazin-P showed no effect on acetylcholinesterase inhibition by malaoxon in vitro. 14C-methyl malathion degradation in vitro was higher in resistant strains than in susceptible ones; this was 1 of the main resistance factors. Kiazin-P showed a strong inhibitory action on malathion degradation. Kitazin-P apparently inhibits malathion degrading carboxylesterase. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
