Abstract
Using Green's functions and a modified Callen decoupling, the Curie temperature of an anisotropic Heisenberg film has been obtained as the solution of a nonlinear system. The other unknowns entering the system are related to the distribution of layer magnetizations and the transversal short-range order of the film. In the case of periodic boundary conditions, it has been proved that the Curie temperature approaches its bulk-value limit exponentially fast. Keywords
