Abstract
This study had two related aims regarding management training for occupational therapists: firstly, to discover if occupational therapists currently employed as heads of department considered that they had sufficient management training to carry out their duties effectively and, secondly, to begin to identify management training needs. A personal interview was carried out on a small sample of head occupational therapists to ascertain their views. The results are discussed and areas for future research are suggested. Keywords
