Abstract
The braconid Cardiochiles nigriceps and the ichneumonid Sagaritis provancheri are important parasites on the tobacco budworm in the vicinity of Chatham, Virginia. The % of parasitism from the former varies from 78.6 to 95.2% and from the latter from 15.2 to 43 %. Death to the budworm larvae from parasitism by S. provancheri occurs in the 2d or 3d instar. Ten spp. of insects are listed as hosts of S. provancheri; the tobacco budworm appears to be the only host of C. nigriceps. Keywords
