Abstract
Reduction of [tris(tert-butyldimethylsilylamidoethyl)-amino]chlorouranium(IV)[L3UCl] with potassium gives the crystallographically characterised mixed-valence (III/IV dimer [L3U)2-µ-Cl] which acts as a source of trivalent uranium giving pentavalent [L3UN-SiMe3] on reaction with trimethylsilylazide.Keywords
