Abstract
In several patients before and after removal or section of various cervical and thor-acid ganglia and their trunks, starch-iodine tests were used to detect sweating in response to external heat or parasympathomi-metic drugs. The results indicate the location of cell stations for postganglionic nerves to sweat glands of specific areas of face, neck, upper trunk, and arm, and support the claim made in the title. Keywords
