Abstract
Nuclear physics studies with heavy ions at intermediate energy (10-100 MeV/n) require a new generation of detector systems. We studied the performance of ΔE-E telescopes employing transmission silicon detectors (SSBD and PIN) and CsI(Tl) scintillators with photodiode read-outs The active area of the detectors is 1 cm2 and 20 cm2. Good particle identification and energy resolution have been obtained detecting light particles and heavy fragments up to 25 Mev/u.Keywords
