Abstract
Knowledge of the costs of sampling and of the prior distribution of the number of defectives plays an important role in the determination of an optimum sampling plan. This paper investigates some of the consequences that occur when the assumptions concerning the prior distribution must be modified. The efficiency of optimum double sampling procedures is compared with that of optimum single sampling procedures. Keywords
