Abstract
Cactus-spine granulomas occurred in nine patients. Retained dermal barbs after skin puncture from the cholla and prickly pear varieties of Opuntia can cause this reaction on rare occasions. Results of skin tests with glochid extracts from these cacti support the hypotheses of an allergic granuloma. Keywords
