Abstract
The statistical and spectral properties of quantum noise are derived from the definition of this process as an interference phenomenon between parts of the wave function which have emitted infraquanta (e.g., photons) above the resolution threshold, and the main part which did not emit quanta above the threshold. The process is shown to be very close to a Gaussian process, and the small deviation term is obtained in analytic form.
