Abstract
A screening project for cancer of the large bowel was performed in a rural area. After an intensive educational program and with the help of many volunteers, 3956 people participated in a stool guaiac determination. Five patients had a carcinoma, and 5 more had adenomas of the large bowel. Screening for cancer of the large bowel can be performed effectively in a rural area and the results are gratifying. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
