Calculation of the Decay Rate for+ One Photon in Helium

Abstract
The amplitude for the one-photon transition in helium is shown, from quantum electrodynamics, to be computable in terms of the nonrelativistic wave functions. Numerical evaluation gives a decay rate of 1.2× .
