Abstract
This project is a followup study of a sample of 205 women who have had abortions. The results support earlier studies which indicate that women who have abortions are generally not traumatized by the event. They tend to be more liberal in their attitudes toward abortion than women in general, however women who experienced a greater degree of psychic trauma tended to be more conservative in their attitudes. The number of Catholic woman closely approximated the proportion of Catholics in the State of Minnesota. Six per cent of our sample had had previous abortions. Keywords
