Abstract
Investigations were conducted on the colonization of new substrata (brick surfaces) and recolonization of denuded intertidal surfaces by frondose benthic algae [Acanthophora spicifera, Champia pervula, Colpomenia sinuosa, Dictyota sp. Enteromorpha sp., Hypnea nidifica, Laurencia nidifica, Ulva fasciata, Gelidium sp., Padina japonica and Sargassum echinocarpum] on the tropical shores of Hawaii (USA). Size measurements of the benthic algae colonizing the habitats are presented and agronomic implications of the research findings are discussed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
