Abstract
This paper contains information relating to the setting up of standard blackbodies for use through the temperature range of about 1,400° to 2,400° K and their use in the calibration of tungsten strip lamps as laboratory standards of spectral radiance for the wavelength region of 0.25 to 2.6 microns. A graphite blackbody is described and representative data are given on the spectral characteristics of the new lamp standard as compared to blackbodies at several selected temperatures. Keywords
