Abstract
In the few years of its existence, diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT) spectrometry has been applied to the qualitative analysis of a wide variety of samples. These include coals, adsorbed molecules, HPLC effluents, biopolymers and synthetic polymers. Far fewer quantitative determinations have been performed by DRIFT spectrometry. Nevertheless, it is our belief that there is no insurmountable reason why DRIFT should not become a powerful tool for the quantitative analysis of powdered samples. Keywords
