Abstract
The binding constants, K, are reported for Eu(thd)3 with 11 ketones and 7 aldehydes related to acetophenone and benzaldehyde, respectively. Variations in K are rationalised in terms of the electronic and steric requirements of the aryl ring substituents.Keywords
