Abstract
Measurements of luminescence emission and photoconductivity as a function of (1) operating temperature during excitation, (2) time during decay, and (3) temperature during thermostimulation were made for a zinc sulfide crystal. The results indicate that the processes of luminescence and photoconductivity are dissimilar. Evidence is presented for the presence of surface conductivity, especially important in measurements made with acicular crystals. Keywords
