Abstract
A technique for the simultaneous determination of tetraalkyl‐ and ionic alkyl‐lead species in environmental samples is reported. Alkyllead species are extracted into n‐hexane in the presence of NaDDTC and NaCl. The extracts are butylated and analysed by gas chromatography‐atomlc absorption (GC/AA). Detection limits for individual TAL and TriAL compounds are of the order of. ng I‐1 in aqueous samples, pg m‐3 in atmospheric aerosols and ng g‐1 in street dusts. Alkyllead compounds have been quantified ‐in rainwater, atmospheric aerosols and motorway runoff water with this technique and representative results are reported. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
