Abstract
A new development in social work education is the offering of human sexuality courses in the graduate curriculum. This focus does not represent a major change in social work practice, but an overdue clarification in an especially difficult area. Because sexual issues are so emotionally charged for most people, it is difficult to learn the required skills necessary for dealing with that aspect of practice without an awareness and working through of some of one's own biases.
