Tension shells and tension stars

Abstract
In a tension star, the tension is so great that gravity becomes repulsive and is balanced by the cohesive effect of tension. Such repulsive gravity is the basis of the inflation of the Universe. The simplest model of a tension star is Schwarzschild's internal solution but with a negative pressure. Such objects are static but inhabit the space on the far side of the Einstein-Rosen bridge. Static shells of matter in tension, including spherical domain walls, can be built in this region only.Keywords
