Abstract
A review of the chemical and physical processes involved in the synthesis of ammonia in a reactor charged with a promoted iron catalyst is given. In order to discuss the chemistry of the reaction the structure of the surface in which the chemical reaction takes place will be discussed and in order to discuss the diffusion in the catalyst pore system, the pore structure will be treated. Keywords
