Abstract
A model is proposed for the linear magnetoresistance recently observed in layered rare-earth diantimonides. It is based on a graphitelike energy spectrum with a small hopping between the layers and the assumption that the distance between the lowest-Landau bands exceeds both the temperature and the bandwidth along the main axis. Keywords
