Abstract
Morphine was not adsorbed on methanol-treated florisil columns, whereas both codeine and heroin were. This was used as a means of separating morphine from codeine and heroin. Barbiturates were adsorbed on 60-100 mesh cocoanut shell charcoal columns previously cleaned with ethyl acetate followed by ethanol and water. Final detn. of barbiturates was made by Levvy''s colorimetric method using cobaltous acetate and iso-propylamine soln. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
