Abstract
DYAD generates descriptions of conversational patterns of dyads based on sound- silence data. Input consists of sequential talk/notalk designations which are summarized according to a number of user supplied parameters. Output consists of descriptive matrices, including histograms and summary measures, stochastic matrices, and individual talk parameters. Related programs for collecting analogue data are also available. Keywords
