Abstract
In a case of pyodermia (pemphigus) vegetans Hallopeau, modern investigations were performed. Direct immunofluorescent (IF) study of specimens taken from verrucous vegetations failed to reveal the presence of IgG deposits in the intercellular spaces as well IgA and IgG deposits at the epidermal-dermal junction. Indirect IF examination of circulating pemphigus antibodies gave a negative result. Histopathological study did not show the presence of acantholysis. The studies which were carried out indicated that pemphigus vegetans Hallopeau should not be associated with the pemphigus group. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
