Abstract
Deciduomata produced in pseudopregnant rats by passing a burred needle into the uterine canal practically completely inhibited the implantation of ova. In rats which did not produce deciduomata, the same maneuver did not interfere with implantation. Histological study revealed no apparent morphological differences between the traumatized horns following the regression of deciduomata and the untraumatized horns. The mechanism of the inhibition is unexplained.
