Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 45-year-old man was admitted to the hospital after collapsing.The patient was apparently well until one day before admission, when he experienced pain in the right leg. On the next day he recalled sitting down somewhere and remembered nothing else until he regained consciousness in the Emergency Ward, where he was brought by police who found him collapsed on a street corner.He was an obese man who appeared apneic on arrival at the Emergency Ward, although the pulse was palpable; he promptly began to breathe with effort.
