Abstract
This study deals with the controlling of self-injurious behaviour in a profoundly retarded girl. The main therapeutic tool, social isolation, was carried out under normal ward conditions and was statistically evaluated in an intra-subject design without reversal conditions. The procedure reduced the self-injurious behaviour to a near-zero level. Keywords
