Abstract
When sweet or sour cherry buds having latent virus complexes were budded into the flowering cherries, particularly of the Kwanzan and Shirofugen vars. of Prunus serrulata, a severe reaction occurred. These are reliable test plants for the viruses. Of several trees tested, only one tree of Bing and one of Black Tartarian failed to give a + test with these 2 flowering cherries, and these negative trees may be free from all known viruses. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
