Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A seventy-five-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of cirrhosis of the liver.He had been well until ten months previously, when a left inguinal herniorraphy was performed at another hospital, with the subsequent development of a hematoma in the wound, requiring evacuation. After the second operation edema of the lower extremities and genitalia and mild ascites appeared for a brief period. Two months before entry the administration of adrenocortical steroids for treatment of psoriasis was followed by the reaccumulation of ascitic fluid and peripheral edema, with a gain of 12 pounds in . . .Keywords
