Abstract
Acetyl-methyl-carbinol is destroyed by certain strains of (1) the colon-aerogenes group of bacteria, chiefly Aero-bacter aerogenes, (2) the green fluorescent bacteria, and (3) by all of the aerobic spore-formers tested. It is not destroyed by the representatives tested of the Salmonella, Eberthella, Proteus or Serratia groups. It seems probable that the compound serves as a source of C.This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
