Abstract
The production of optical oscillations by an interaction involving the slow space−charge wave on an electron beam had been analyzed. Such an analysis is shown to be irrelevant since it requires the optical wavelength to be much larger than the Debye length (λ≫λD), a condition which cannot be met with available electron beams. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
