Abstract
The results in a continuing study, using the Haemoccult slides for mass screening in colorectal cancer in asymptomatic individuals in Central Queensland, are presented. They are compared with those in a review of the incidence of the same disease treated during the years 1972 to 1976 in the same area. A discussion is undertaken to determine whether the slides test will improve the five-year survival rates in this district. Keywords
