Abstract
The collection and preparation of four lake and four stream sediment reference materials are described. Provisional values related to both total concentrations and concentrations derived from partial extraction procedures are presented for major, minor and trace element constituents. As large amounts of samples (160–200 kg) have been prepared, they should be of interest to soil analysts. Keywords
