Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare the outcome of individual, multiple, and programmed modes of test interpretation of four different vocational tests with the content held constant across treatments. Subjects in the individual condition scored significantly higher than subjects in either of the other two conditions on perceived effectiveness of test interpretation and on career choice certainty, and they preferred it to other modes. Subjects in the multiple and programmed conditions did not differ significantly from each other on any dependent measure. Implications for counseling are discussed.
