Abstract
Galeruca rufa Germar is a European chrysomelid that defoliates Convolvulus arvensis L. In southern Italy it undergoes 2–3 generations/year from March to September. In the laboratory development from egg to adult takes approximately 37 days. From host specificity tests it appears that G. rufa feeds only on species In the genera Convolvulus and Calystegia . When scored for effectiveness, G. rufa seems to have potential as a biocontrol agent for Convolvulus arvensis .This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
