Abstract
The diversity of the organisms inhabiting an environmental gradient depends on 2 factors, the average diversity at fixed levels of the gradient, and the amount of species turnover along the gradient. Estimators of the diversity and the relative contributors of these 2 factors are presented. The feasibility of the estimation scheme is demonstrated on a sample data collection. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
