Mammary infarction

Abstract
Three cases of mammary infarction are reported. One showed infarction of a fibro-adenoma in a nonlactating breast. In the second there were two lesions in lactating breasts, one an infarcted fibro-adenoma and the other an infarction of hyperplastic breast tissue, also probably a fibro-adenoma. The third case showed infarction of hyperplastic lactating breast tissue. The possibility of confusion with carcinoma of the breast is discussed.
