Abstract
High-elevation cattle range in northern Nevada was sprayed with 2,4-D several times in 1956 and 1957 to determine optimum time needed to control Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus var. lanceolatus. Only the June 1956 spray, applied when rabbitbrush was nearly in full leaf and when soil moisture was plentiful, reduced brush. Eight years later, sprayed areas produced much more grass than unsprayed areas. Spray applied too early in June 1957, when rabbitbrush was in half leaf, reduced forbs but increased production of rabbitbrush. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
