Abstract
Liver function tests, performed in 11 epileptics under antiepileptic treatment for 10-35 yr, showed a slight increase in serum alanine aminotransferase in 6 patients and a marked increased level of serum alkaline phosphatases in 4. Liver biopsies revealed few uni- or paucicellular necroses in 5 patients. Granulomatous hepatitis was found in 1 patient in whom sarcoidosis was later diagnosed. None of the biopsies showed signs of permanent liver damage. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
