Abstract
The equilibrium distribution of droplets in the theory of irreversible nucleation is derived by the method of grand canonical ensembles. It is found that if the free energy of the liquid drops is assigned a classical value in terms of the macroscopic surface tension, the distributions obtained are identical with the theory of Reiss and Katz. Keywords
