Abstract
States up to 5.6 MeV in excitation energy in were studied by the , , and reactions at a deuteron bombarding energy of 17 MeV. Over 100 states were observed and 70 angular distributions were measured and compared with distorted-wave Born approximation calculations for the (), and () reactions. Special emphasis was placed on obtaining accurate excitation energies to compare those states excited in more than one reaction. In , some of the two-hole-one-particle (2h-1p) states are found to be fragmented. The and 2h-1p states are tentatively identified. Many of the weaker (less than 5 μb/sr) transitions in () have angular distributions which do not follow DWBA - possibly indicating other than one-step reaction mechanisms. Observation of the 2h-1p states in () indicate that the closed shell contains about , , and particle- core admixture.
