Abstract
Aerodynamics modelling and CAD form a natural partnership. This article discusses how one major CAD/CAM system was used as a preand postprocessing tool to an aerodynamic predictions method in a European aircraft company. In addition, the effect of powerful workstations on processing speed and 3-D visualisations and the linking of the 3-D models with stereolithography (to produce an acrylic wind tunnel model directly from the screen) are discussed.
