Abstract
This paper describes how the introduction of newer tissue culture methods has brought the laboratory diagnosis of many virus diseases within the reach of public health and hospital laboratories. Particular attention is paid to diagnostic methods in poliomyelitis, Coxsackie infections, aseptic meningitis, "orphan" virus infections, APC infections, acute laryngotracheobronchitis, and vesicular skin eruptions. Keywords
