Abstract
The study was designed to examine the beat reproduction responses of normal and hearing-impaired subjects on the basis of four considerations: (a) auditory experience, (b) auditory involvement during stimulus presentation, (c) auditory deprivation, and (d) tempo. Data were analyzed for temporal deviation in auditory and tempo conditions. A two-way analysis of variance indicated a significant temporal deviation difference between normal end hearing-impaired subjects. A significant temporal deviation difference was also found among four selected tempi. Observation of data indicated group tendencies for fastness or slowness. Keywords
